West Des Moines Man Charged With Indecent Acts With a Child
A girl alleged man touched her before, but she was afraid her father would become angry if she said anything.
Child protective workers with the Iowa Department of Human Services have been notified and a West Des Moines man was arrested Sunday night on charges of indecent acts with a child, according to police records.
Byron Alberta Martinez, 29, was charged after he allegedly fondled the breasts of the 11-year-old daughter of a person with whom he had been living. According to West Des Moines Police Officer Maggie Carrington’s report, Martinez was licking the girl’s breast when her stepmother walked past an open dor and saw what was occurring and called police.
According to the report, the victim said this has happened in the past, but she never told anyone because she was afraid her father, Martinez’s friend, would get angry.
Martinez was taken to the Dallas County Jail.
