A 52-year-old West Des Moines woman reported to police Monday morning that someone has stolen about $600 worth of bras and panties.

About $360 in cash also turned up missing from her West Des Moines home.

The woman told West Des Moines Police Officer Blain Brinkmeyer that all keys to her house are accounted for and there have been no signs of forced entry. The mystery started around May 30, when she noticed two size 32A push-up bras and a black bra, size 34C, were missing.

Since then, two more push-up bras, one purple and the other hot pink, have disappeared. The missing lingerie also includes: four size 32A strapless bras, two of them tan, one black and one pink; two tan size 34C strapless bras; four regular bras, sizes unspecified; and three pair of thong underpants.

The victim told Brinkmeyer that occasionally, her family asks a neighbor boy who has the garage door code to tend to family cats. But she declined to provide his name until she has a chance to speak with her husband, police said.
