An Evening of Art: Spring Gallery Night is This Friday in West Des Moines' Valley Junction

Get out this Friday night and attend the 18th annual Gallery Night in West Des Moines' Historic Valley Junction.

Five local galleries, which sell items ranging from original artwork, custom jewelry, ceramics and furniture, are participating in the event. Gallery Night will take place from 5-9 p.m. on April 12.

The following galleries will be showcasing new works by local, national and international artists:

• A OK Antiques, 124 Fifth St.
• Eyebeads & Gemstones, 214 Fifth St.
• Kavanaugh Art Gallery, 131 Fifth St.
• Olson-Larsen Galleries, 203 Fifth St.
• 2 AU Limited, 200 Fifth St.

Many other Valley Junction businesses will have extended hours Friday night during the event.

Need a little extra enticement? For the first time ever, Wines of Iowa will be offering different samples of local wines at each of the participating galleries.

This event is free and open to the public.

Gallery Night is made by possible by the Historic Valley Junction Art Association, as well as City Design Kitchen and Bath Concepts, G. Migs 5th Street Pub, Hamilton Law Firm, Historic Valley Junction Foundation, The Longest Yard Sports Grill, Val Air Ballroom, West Bank and Wines of Iowa.
