Hillside Elementary Students Writing, Recording Song with Help of Hip-Hop Artist

The West Des Moines students will perform the song on Wednesday, May 22.

Students at West Des Moines' Hillside Elementary School will get to call themselves songwriters by the end of this week.

Hip-hop artist Rahlo is visiting the school this week, meeting with kids, talking to them about his career, and helping them write and record their own song. The song will focus on theme 'what is your legacy?'.

Students will perform the song on Wednesday, May 22 at 2 p.m.
