Mint L.A. Boutique Opens West Glen Location on Saturday

Clothing boutique Mint L.A. will bring its brand of high fashion to West Des Moines when it opens Saturday at 5515 Mills Civic Parkway, Suite 135.

The Des Moines Register says the store is filled with trendy and affordable clothing aimed at 18 to 35-year-old professionals. Mint L.A. is stocked with clothing, purses, accessories and shoes at an average cost of $40.

Owner Rebekah Risbeck opened the first Mint L.A. in Des Moines more than a year ago just south of downtown.

“I want to capture the working West Des Moines woman by offering more blazers, trousers and other items that can go from work to cocktail hour,” she told the newspaper.

Risbeck is originally from West Des Moines and spent 10 years in Los Angeles as women’s clothing buyer. She buys her merchandise from Los Angeles area vendors, the paper said.

Hours for the West Glen store are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, according to the Register.
