Shawn Johnson’s DWTS Shoes, Olympic Gear Available at West Des Moines Resale Boutique

If you admired Shawn Johnson for overcoming the challenges of dancing in stiletto heels to a second-place finish in Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars, you’re likely to admire her more when you see the steep arch of the shoes.

And you can.

They’re for sale in West Des Moines at WORN, an upscale resale boutique in West Glen Town Center.

Johnson, who recently moved back to West Des Moines, has consigned “a ton” of athletic and workout gear, some of which she wore on DWTS, to the store, said owner Gina Pagano-Rude.

Pagano-Rude opened WORN in October and has since seen strong traffic, both from customers and women consigning gently used designer clothing.

Information on how to consign at WORN and labels they’re interested in acquiring is found on the boutique’s web site.

WORN offers good deals for customers, who get like-new designer clothing, shoes and bags (think Prada, Gucci, Armani, Christian Dior, Chanel, Coach, Louis Vuitton and the like) at a fraction of retail prices. And it’s a good deal for consignors, who get 40 percent of the sale.

“A lot of people who are consigning would have taken these to Goodwill,” Pagano-Rude said. “When they find out about this, they keep coming back because it’s such a big deal.”

WORN’s West Glen Town Center location is open Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Pagano-Rude has another store in Des Moines in the Shops At Roosevelt location.
