West Des Moines Officials Ask Residents Not to Put Storm Debris at the Curb
Officials will conduct a thorough assessment of tree damage after the holidays.
The city of West Des Moines is asking residents not to put limbs and other debris left behind after the major winter storm Draco last week on the right-of-way for collection at this time.
The city said in a news release that an assessment of tree debris will be made after the holiday season. Placing the debris at the curb now could hinder snow removal efforts in the future, according to the release.
Also, remember that Christmas tree and winter yard waste will be collected from Dec. 31-Jan. 11.
