2014 Komen Iowa Race for the Cure

Race for the Cure is an emotionally
impactful event with images that can stay with you forever.  From the
powerful visual impression of nearly 15,000 people at the start of the Race
moving as one body for a single cause, to the emotion that you feel as fellow
survivors greet each other after another successful year in battling their
disease together, it is impossible to attend Race for the Cure without feeling
moved.  This is an event where we all come together as a community to
fight this terrible disease, and help put an end to breast cancer
forever. 

Up to 75 percent of the
Affiliate’s net income goes toward funding grants to local hospitals and
community organizations that provide breast health education and breast cancer
screening and treatment programs right here in Iowa!  The remaining 25%
supports breast cancer research nationally.  You can find additional
