Death and Its Many Faces: Mourning the Loss of a Beloved Teacher

My School feels life's harsh sting.

Hello everyone! Today my school mourns the lose of a beloved teacher. Sue Wall was an excepitionally caring person, especially with the special ed kids. I am sorry to say that I did not know her that well, but I know that many of my fellow students will miss her greatly.

Death is a hard topic to talk about and I can unfortunatly say that I know how it feels to lose people that you care about. My family has been through many deaths in the past year, but all we can do is get through it the best way we know how – by surrrounding ourselves with happy things and happy people, and remembering that while we may be hurting, there are others in the world hurting more.

On a happier note, I will be traveling to Cedar Rapids this Friday on an annual church retreat. It's called "Happening" and it's the 33rd one to occur in iowa. I am so excited to be helping as a staff member again. Of course, it doesn't hurt that I get to miss over half the school day. Though things at school may be sad, I am reminded from my own expriences that things are not always as bad as they seem, and there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.
