West Des Moines, Is There a Facebook Page for Bicycle Riding, Wine Drinking, and Fudge Eating in Totally ‘80s Style?

These four Facebook pages are awesome on their own, but put them together and it’s, like, atomic, man.

Here are four Facebook pages you should like right now. We do.

Rasmussen Bike Shop
Why it’s awesome: Our friends at , 301 Grand Ave., bring together a collection of healthy eating tips, bicycle reviews, links to stories cyclists like to read, and photos of folks you know, like the members of the Rasmussen Bike Shop Road Cycling Team.

They don’t just sell and service bikes, they ride them. So you can trust that when they tell you a gel saddle will upgrade your ride, it will upgrade your ride.

Heart of Iowa Market Place
Why it’s awesome: The fudge is reason enough to like both the page and the actual storefront at 211 Fifth St. in , where you can buy some of that melt-in-your-mouth Iowa deliciousness.

Owner Kelly Sharp understands the importance of business philanthropy, and often donates a portion of fudge sales to nonprofit groups. The most recent cause was the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.

Heart of Iowa Market Place is also a darned cool store with the right mix of artistry and whimsy, all of the Iowa variety. Heart of Iowa Market Place is relatively new to Facebook, so let’s help make the page explode with likes.

Atomic Garage
Why it’s awesome: How can you not like a place called Atomic Garage? Located at 127 Fifth St. in , it’s your go-to shop for vintage costumes from the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s.

You’ll giggle, chortle and endlessly amuse yourself with explanations for what in the world you were thinking by dressing that way – especially the industrial-sized shoulder pads and big hair. What was that about, anyway. Check out the Facebook photo gallery. Especially Miss November.

The Lagniappe
Why it’s awesome: What’s not to love about , located at 112 Fifth St. in ?

True confession time. You can sometimes find Patch on the awesome rooftop patio chatting with other folks who have discovered this charming respite, where shopkeeper Janice Holmes takes her job seriously as the giver of a small gift to customers at the time of a purchase – in this case, generous hospitality.

Is the site now as dead as it appears to be? Doesn't seem to be anyone commenting/responding, andRead More since the convenient 'Recent comments' bar was taken away, it's impossible to now know what, if anything, people are speaking about.....
