Police Respond to Gunshots Fired Outside Bar

There were no injuries reported after shots fired in an after-hours fight at an area bar, but two vehicles were damaged.

West Des Moines and Urbandale police responded Saturday after multiple gunshots were fired outside a Clive bar early Saturday morning.

The Clive Police Department requested assistance from the two departments after a large fight had erupted outside The Lounge, 2249 NW 86th St., Clive, around 2 a.m. after the bar closed, the Des Moines Register reports.

Shots were fired from at least two different weapons. There were no injuries reported, and people began scattering after the shots were fired.

Two vehicles were damaged. One was still at the scene when police arrived and another was located in West Des Moines, but the owners were uncooperative with police, according to the report.

Police are still investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call the Clive Police Department at (515) 278-1312 during normal business hours or the Westcom dispatch center at (515) 222-3321.
