U.S. Marshals Make Arrest in West Des Moines Robbery, Attempted Murder

Clifford Orris Jackson Jr., 19, of Des Moines was arrested and charged with attempted murder and first-degree robbery.

West Des Moines Police said today that U.S. marshals have arrested a Des Moines man and charged him with attempted murder and robbery in connection with a Sept. 11 robbery of an individual outside the Kum & Go Convenience Store at 5969 Ashworth Road.

Clifford Orris Jackson Jr., 19, of Des Moines was arrested and taken into custody at 10:30 a.m., according to a news release. He was arrested at a private residence in Des Moines.

He was charged with first-degree robbery and attempted murder.

The victim  was shot during the robbery and suffered non-threatening injuries.
