Newly Elected Senator from West Des Moines Ranking Minority Member of Judiciary Committee
Charles Schneider will also serve on the Senate Commerce and Economic Growth committees.
Senator-elect Charles Schneider, elected this week to represent Senate District 22, has been named a ranking minority member of the Senate Judiciary Committee for the 2013 legislative session that convenes Jan. 14.
Schneider, a West Des Moines Republican, will also serve on the Senate Commerce and Economic Growth Committees. Schneider campaigned on a platform that included growing Iowa’s economy to reduce the state’s brain drain.
In a news release, Senate Republican Leader Bill Dix of Shell Rock said Schneider “will be a great asset to the Republican team as well as the committees he serves upon.”
Senate District 22 includes Waukee, Clive, Windsor Heights and part of West Des Moines.
