YMCA Flag Football Bowl Games: Everybody Wins!
The YMCA's flag football teams squared off against each other, as well as their favorite local mascots, in Bowl games.
When a few hundred kids from the YMCA's flag football game showed up Saturday at Valley Stadium, every one of them was prepared to win.
And all of them did.
Saturday was the Bowl Day for dozens of teams across the Des Moines area Ys, including Waukee, South Suburban, John R. Grubb, and Walnut Creek.

In keeping with the YMCA's motto -- Everybody Plays, Everybody Wins -- all the players received trophies, and all the players had their names announced over the stadium's speakers.
At approximately 12:15, mascots from all your local favorite teams play in a mascot game of flag football! Cubbie Bear and Surge from the Iowa Energy star in a game with mascots from the Des Moines Bucs, Polk County Conservation and even the Army! Last year's game was a riot!
