Super Bowl XLVII: Date, Betting Lines, TV Schedule for San Francisco 49ers vs. Baltimore Ravens and Where to Watch in West Des Moines

Beyoncé will headline halftime show, sexy ads and who you won’t see on television’s biggest advertising day.

Super Bowl Sunday is closer than you think. One week from today, Feb. 3, the AFC’s Baltimore Ravens and the NFC’s San Francisco 49ers battle it out for the national championship.

Right now, the 49ers are 3.5-point favorites to win Super Bowl XLVII.

The game starts at 5:30 p.m. CST in the Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans. Locally, the game is broadcast on KCCI-TV.

It’s not just about the football game, of course. What’s a Super Bowl without sex appeal?

Beyoncé, one of GQ’s “100 Sexiest Women of the 21st Century,” headlines the halftime show and will reunite with her Destiny’s Child bandmates.

And the ads – as much of a Super Bowl attraction as the game – feature women “so beautiful that even the wives will be glued to the television screen,” said gamedayr.com. Think Bar Refaeli and Danica Patrick for GoDaddy.com, Kate Upton for Mercedes-Benz, Catrinel Menghia for Fiat, and Kaley Cuoco for Toyota.
Super Bowl Sunday is the biggest ad-buy day of the year, and one of the most anticipated ads may be BlackBerry’s “1984” commercial, Forbes reported.

The network is reportedly charging a record $4 million for each 30-second commercial – too much, automotive giant General Motors said. Also sitting out this year’s Super Bowl are Nissan North America and Bridgestone Tires, which said it was re-evaluating its relationship with the NFL.

If you’re planning on going out to watch the game, here are some places in West Des Moines to consider:

Is the site now as dead as it appears to be? Doesn't seem to be anyone commenting/responding, andRead More since the convenient 'Recent comments' bar was taken away, it's impossible to now know what, if anything, people are speaking about.....
