ISU's Georges Niang Explodes for 48 Points, Tyrus McGee for 37 in Opener of YMCA Capital City Basketball League

Iowa State, Drake and AIB lead Patch.com team to 116-102 victory.

ISU's Georges Niang was on fire throughout the game, going 19 for 29, including seven of eight from behind the three-point line, leading Patch.com to a 116-102 victory over Peak Performance. Tyrus McGee was next among all scorers, with 37, including 7 for 13 three-pointers. Drake's Richard Carter had 14.

For Peak Performance, Korie Lucious led the way with 37 points -- 33 of them from 11 three-pointers. Bubu Palo had 19.

In other games, Capital Orthopaedics defeated , 110-98, and Coca-Cola defeated Adio Chiropractic, 104-98.

That was some really nice basketball by all teams. I liked not only the pace and obvious skill, but also the good sportsmanship displayed throughout. Great job, YMCA!
