Ankeny Saved Floppy, a star of a children's program on WHO.

It seems to be the right place for Floppy. Too much has been made about Floppy. There are moreRead More important issues and stories that the state needs to focus on. Maybe it is because I am a War Baby (2nd world war) and didn't grow up in this TV viewing area that it's not important to me. Duane Ellett lived in Ankeny so is part of Ankeny's history.

Floppy does need to come back. He is an icon in the hearts of many, many people young and old.Read More Somebody had a wonderful idea of the historical building interacting Floppy with a Childrens television exhibit which is a wonderful idea. Honestly, I think that the Historical Building needs to be revamped and big time too. The main floor is very empty and sterile. If I was having a reception at the Historical Building, I would want to be surrounded by Iowa's wonderful history as the backdrop for any event. Just my thoughts.
