The new school year is just around the corner. The West Des Moines Community Schools start on Aug. 20. With walk-in registration beginning this week, parents may be seeking registration-related and other important documents for the upcoming school year.
We are pleased to announce our Back to School Toolkit , which provides handbooks, forms, free and reduced meal applications, brochures and more online. The toolkit is available at www.wdmcs.org by going to Our District, Our Schools, then Back to School Toolkit (on the left under Registration).
Previously, the information was provided to families on a CD. With new legal advice that now allows us to use our website to share legal and policy notifications, the CD will no longer be used. This allows us to save money and meet the request of parents for the online format.
