Why Sell My House Now?

Many homeowners are in limbo on whether they should sell their homes now.  It’s a big decision and the process requires a lot of time and effort.  

So…why sell your home now?  With interest low interest rates that are slowly climbing their way up and lower inventory levels, it is a sellers market. By that I mean the curve has shifted. Buyers are high and inventory is low. In the Des Moines metro, we are seeing a lot of listings receiving offers in as few as a couple days to a month. Sellers seem to have an upper hand in these transactions. That means more money in your pocket.  Here are a few other reasons:

1.       High Demand – Low Supply. Homes in the US are selling at a pace not seen since 2007 according to (NAR) (National Asooc. Of Realtors). Annual sales in 2012 increased 9.2% since 2011. Serious buyers are out there ready to purchase.

2.       Interest Rates are slowly climbing up. Buyers want to buy now.
